Global Export Manager

Global Export Manager – North East UK – Up to £55k

This role is to join a vibrant and growing rapid diagnostics and laboratory services company selling antibodies, protein products, primers and services into Life Science research laboratories in Universities, Biotech and Hospital laboratories

The Global Export Manager for Clinical Product’s has responsibility for managing the day to day export and distribution business across the clinical products group. In addition they are expected to input through the Director of Sales and Marketing into the strategic direction and commercial goals of the group.

Distributor management

*Ensure that all distributor sales targets are achieved.
*Source suitable distributors in required markets.
*Take responsibility for the day to day management of the global clinical sales across the group either direct or through distributors or affiliates.
*Ensure adequate technical, marketing and sales resource is in place to ensure the highest levels of distributor/affiliate support.
*Ensure the regulatory and reimbursement requirements for clinical products in different territories are adequately represented in product development.
*Ensure global clinical sales through distributors/affiliates are accurately reflected in the sales forecasts and the sales and marketing plan.

Marketing

*Produce marketing and training tools for distributors to provide suitable resources for distributors.
*Include a marketing communications (Marcomms) plan within marketing plan and ensure that the scheduled activities are implemented on budget.
*Take responsibility for ensuring the group website for clinical products and accompanying branding is in line with both budget and group strategic objectives.

General Requirements

*Will ideally be located in York, but will also involve international and UK Travel where required.
*A BSc degree or higher in relevant background (Biology, Biochemistry or Immunology)
*Excellent understanding of the in-vitro diagnostic market
*Experience in Product Launches and management
* Minimum of 2 years international sales experience/experience of managing distributors
*Organised and structured approach to work
*Able to travel freely internationally and spend up to 30% of time away from home including evenings and occasional weekends.
