Due to the retirement of the post holders we have an exciting opportunity to join the Housing Services section in delivering front line services to the public. The postholder will be support Housing Management Officers in the day to day management of approx 4000 council properties and is based at Council Offices Church Street in Goole .
The work is challenging and varied and will also include assisting with general tenancy and estate management which includes progressing possession cases through the County Court, housing allocations and void property control and providing general housing advice and options. The role also involves assisting others to try to prevent homelessness and for those seeking assistance made under the provisions of the homeless persons legislation.
The successful applicant must have a sound knowledge dealing with the public of and a good standard of education to HNC standard or equivalent. Some social housing knowledge would also be an advantage.
