Position: HR Advisor
Location: Whitley Bridge, North Yorkshire
Job Type: Full time, permanent
Salary: £20k – 25k per annum

About the role:

The HR Advisor provides a first line ER advisory service to managers, alongside providing a comprehensive case management support to their HR Business Partners, and delivering first class employee services to their people throughout the employment lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

– Provide an advisory service to people managers on all employment matters, and effectively managing processes for investigation, disciplinary, grievance and appeal, maintaining excellent case records. – Effectively manage medical / long term sickness cases, by supporting managers, liaison with Health &Safety, and managing appropriate capability processes
– Support with the administration of the company fleet and other employee benefitsEnsuring accurate administration of maternity / paternity / shared parental leave in – Providing a proactive ‘link’ between recruitment and HR processes, ensuring an excellent on-boarding experience for new employees, including ensuring that the probationary process is effectively completed, – Work with the HR Assistant to ensure all references and employment checks are completed Provide accurate Management Information and KPI’s for the UK &Eire territory, and support for key HR life cycle projects.

About you:

– Ability to build strong working relationships with line managers and team members
– Strong focus on internal customer service
– Comfortable working within a small team, with crossover of role
– Previous HR advisory experience in a client facing role
– Experience of managing discipline, grievance &appeal processes
– Experience of managing maternity / paternity / shared parental leave
– Sound knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
– Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
– IT competent, specifically MS Office suite &HR systems
– Sound experience of transactional HR activities
– Basic recruitment experience
