Location: Selby , Yorkshire

Salary: Competitive (includes 2 bonus schemes)

Hours: Days (Mon- Fri) with occasional late cover

Type: Permanent

Our Client, a rapidly growing testing company are looking to recruit for an experienced Laboratory Manager or a Team Leader/Supervisor who is ready to `step up`. The successful candidate will gain career progression by gaining exposure to critical business and management areas, being the most senior member of staff before board level.

The Role:

– Oversight and management of the Laboratory Technicians and Peers.
– Management and implementation of the QMS system and validation too.
– Management of the QC aspects of the lab (UKAS) and related testing activities.
– Management of the analysis of samples (ELISA)
– Training and mentoring of laboratory staff and ELISA test work.
– Heavily involved in the NPD side of the business.
– Responsible for Laboratory – operations budget.
– Responsible for audit hosting and conducting quality/ performance reviews.
– Responsible for Client visits.
– Responsible for upkeep and improvement on the LIMS and related systems.

The Person:

– Will hold a BSc or related Degree in a relevant Scientific field or have significant Laboratory Management experience
– ELISA experience is a must have; Candidates will must also have experience of this testing blood.
– Previous Management experience (1-2 years minimum), leading a team of Scientists.
– Will have strong interpersonal skills and a modern approach towards management.
