Quality Control Inspector
PURPOSE:
To carry out examination of products to ensure they meet industry and company standards.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Able to read and understand basic engineering drawings.
Inspection of materials used in the production process to ensure they are to specification and are within
tolerances.
Communication with purchasing team any non-conformance in materials or components from suppliers.
Inspect, measure and test products being produced to ensure they meet required standards of workmanship
and dimensional tolerances.
Reject products that fail to meet required standards and notify relevant supervisor of reason, helping to
analyse and correct production problems.
Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process.
Record and analyse data and produce reports on findings.
Hold internal quality meetings.
Control of company quality records.
Control of measuring equipment, calibration and registers of equipment.
Assist in the development of company specifications and standards.

Good communication skills, dealing with staff at all levels.

Product and process knowledge.

Understanding of basic engineering drawings.
Understanding of ISO 9001.
Experience in quality inspector role or similar.
Certification in quality control an advantage.
