Store Assistant

We are looking for polite, friendly, hard working staff to join our team for part time roles of 16 hours per week. Londis is a local, family run Convenience store providing everyday essentials to our customers.

Applicants must be over the age of 18 as you would be required to sell alcohol and tobacco products.

You must also be available to work evenings and weekends. The store closes at 10pm.

Our store serves the local community and our customers are mainly local residents therefore applicants must be able to present themselves as helpful and outgoing to keep up with our friendly inviting atmosphere.

You must also be able to work at a very fast pace with accuracy whilst multitasking, be able to work on tasks individually and as part of a team and have self motivation and the ability to use your own initiative to keep up in this busy role. Being able to prioritise your duties is also key in this role.

You will be required to complete, but not limited, to the following tasks;

Replenishment of stock and keeping all departments tidy and pulling products forward to look well stocked

Serving customers in a fast and friendly manner whilst using the various services we offer, Such as Paypoint, National Lottery & Hermes Parcel Service

Responsibility for the security of the store and stock

Helping customers with any enquiries and managing customer complaints professionally

Have excellent Customer service skills

Have great communication skills with the ability to build rapport with customers

Checking and managing stock deliveries

Merchandising new stock into existing ranges

Keeping the store clean and tidy including cleaning shelves, floors, store room and communal areas

Retail experience, especially in convenience retailing, would be beneficial to applicants however all necessary training shall be provided.
