Wood Pellet Delivery Driver (Friday to Monday)

VerdEnergy is a fast growing and award winning biomass business, operating across Yorkshire, the North East and Cumbria, it has a network of depots with a Head Office at Tockwith, York. We are the region’s leading biomass fuel supplier to small and medium scale biomass boilers, we hold Biomass Suppliers List (BSL) registration and ENPlus Trader status.

We are currently recruiting for the role of Wood Pellet Delivery and Customer Services Operative in the Goole Area (the depot is near Gilberdyke).

You will need to be an ambitious motivated individual who wants to do more than just drive. You must hold a UK licence (Category C) Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card. Experience of bulk solids and/or pneumatic deliveries is preferred. You will be expected to obtain both fork lift truck and loading shovel licences; drivers are expected to load themselves. H & S training is also provided.

Note that the working week with run from Friday to Monday inclusive (i.e. 4 days).

Role and Responsibility

• Carry out deliveries to our customers in a professional manner.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills in all aspects of the working day.
• Drive the company vehicle responsibly and safely; obeying at all times the traffic laws and highway code.
• Carry out daily and weekly vehicle checks ensuring any defects found are reported.
• Keep accurate records of deliveries using delivery documentation.
• Plan and route your vehicle in the most cost efficient way
• Maintain and help build the customer base in the region.
• Ensure compliance with ENPlus guidance on wood pellet deliveries.
