The annual Armed Forces Day celebrations are coming to Doncaster on Saturday 29th June.
Armed Forces Day is a chance to show your support for the men and women who are part of the Armed Forces community: from troops who are currently serving to Service families, veterans and cadets. Showing support for the Armed Forces provides a much valued morale boost for the troops and their families.
The event will take place from 10am, with a parade honouring both serving and ex-servicemen starting from Sir Nigel Gresley square which will pass through town ending at ending at Doncaster Market Square.
The Market Square will be transformed for the day evoking memories of the war years with a huge Street Party with refreshments and entertainment free to the public.
The event will run following the parade until 4pm and visitors are encouraged to dress in the style of the period and engage with the street party activities.
There will also be plenty of activities for children to get involved in making this the perfect family day out!

The Red Sparrows comedy unicycle display team
Let’s Act performing songs from the musical ‘Chicago’
Watch and then learn all the 1940’s dances in a special workshop for the public from the Twin Swing group
Live music from The Satin Dollz, Ukulele Bailey, Miss Trixie Holiday
