Trust Fostering is calling for Doncaster residents who’ve been thinking about fostering to get in touch and help find more homes in the borough for Doncaster children.
Speaking about the need for foster carers in Doncaster, Head of Placement Services, Belinda Cashman, said: “Our foster carers help Doncaster’s children to stay living in Doncaster near the people and places that they know and love. However, to make sure we have enough homes for our children, we need more people who’ve been thinking about fostering for a while to get in touch.
“It is a big decision to become a foster carer. To help people decide if fostering is right for them and their families, we host monthly information events that provide people with the perfect opportunity to talk to our fostering team, as well as to hear the first-hand from our foster carers.”
Trust Fostering, is part of Doncaster Children’s Services Trust which delivers services on behalf of Doncaster Council, by fostering with the Trust you will be a part of an extensive experienced fostering community who are always on hand to offer advice and support 24/7. Most importantly, you will also be helping a Doncaster child to grow up in Doncaster.
Belinda added: “We are looking for people who can provide loving foster homes for babies, children and teenagers. Our foster carers come from all backgrounds. We have single carers, same-sex couples, people with disabilities, all ethnic backgrounds and ages. The one thing all our carers have in common is they are great listeners and have endless care and love to support our children and young people.
“If this sounds like you, and you have at least one spare bedroom, we would love to hear from you.”
The online information event will take place using Microsoft Teams on Wednesday, 19 August, from 7pm to 8pm. To book your place or for more information, contact the fostering team by calling 0808 129 2600 or email email@example.com.
