Two new opportunities to get your dancing shoes on

darts’ popular Dance On sessions for over 50’s are branching out into two new venues across Doncaster. Residents of Armthorpe and Thorne can now join darts’ dance practitioners for a weekly dose of joy.

Dance On sessions are all about having fun and socialising. No prior dance experience is needed, and people don’t have to remember complicated routines. No-one gets put on the spot, and all movement abilities are welcome – including those who prefer to take part seated. The groups explore different styles of dancing from various eras and cultures, with sessions adapted to suit the group’s needs.

Current group members say,

“After a Dance On session, I feel exhausted but brilliant! I’m a lot better now than I’ve ever been.” and “It’s the time we spend together that is the most important for me – being here, having a laugh and sharing.”

Dance on in Armthorpe takes place in the public lounge at Charles Court, Charles Crescent on Tuesdays, 2-3pm. Dance On in Thorne meet in the public lounge at Casson Court on Church Street every Friday, 2-3pm. There is no need to book, just come along on the day. Sessions cost £3 and you can try your first one for free.

Armthorpe and Thorne are just two of the locations you’ll find Dance On sessions across Doncaster. To find a Dance On session near you visit doncaster.dance-on.org
